These puppies are perfect~

 As they should be considering the lineage they come from! Large, healthy, blocky heads straight out of the gates! I cannot wait to see how they mature. So far at one week old they are proving themselves very vigorous, moving from one end of their area to the other. They show that stubborn determination innately born into the Rottweiler.

Our Extreme Custom Beautiful Home~

OK, I am posting some photos of our "extreme custom" home~ The parts we have done anyway. This home is a labor of love. Shane is brilliant in his ability to come up with an idea and make it a reality! This home is like nothing else anyone will see, unless you head to Europe and visit some of those old world castles. The place gives me goosebumps! When I look at the pictures I feel very satisfied with the time it has taken/is taking!
 Anyone can rush into a project run to Home Depot, buy stock items and install them. We would have been done within months but our home wouldn't have been "our" home, a reflection of us! 

We finished this room December 23rd and had the 12 ft. tree up and decorated about midnight!
So worth it to have a comfy room with furniture!
I suppose this photo showcases the tree more then the room ;)

The walls throughout our home are circle saw lumber off our mill!
We wire wheeled the lumber then applied the chosen color treatment.
Either a walnut stain mixture,
3 different shades of red paint to add to the depth and stain rubbed over that to add 'age', OR (as you will see in the kitchen/pantry section) two different blues rubbed with stain. Amber shellac went over for protection and additional warmth~

The boards that couldn't be used for anything else make the most beautiful rustic walls. Again, the photos just give you an idea. Being in the room is when you realize how spectacular it is.
Hee Hee! Even the stain color is custom! ;)

Hand hewn beams add to the cozy comfort of the room. It truly feels like what I would expect from an old world lodge from Europe. (Never been there only seen in books)
The caribou antler chandelier we found on craigslist, got it for a screaming deal, and with a little TLC and touch up~ Spectacular!
 Right where it belongs~

These are our rustic wood plank floors. Again, circle sawn off our mill, Benite, stain, then shellac. The peg detail is also very beautiful.
These floor make the room feel extremely solid.

My Batman~

The series of photos you see are, well, just a tiny glimpse into how funny this kid is... He asked Santa for a Batman suit & got it. Wears it most days, I actually make him take it off if he starts acting badly. I'm not a person who appreciates the whole alter-ego thing but Luke & Sage get into it fully. Luke here is "driving" his Batman truck, he even reaches forward and shifts! 

That's when I realize I am Batman's mother~ Sweet!

 It reminds me of a little pin I just commented on a friends FB that basically said 

It's good to be yourself, 

unless you can be Batman. 

Then be Batman!

Mom vs. Weeds~

Disgraced!

 I may win this Mom vs. Weeds bout, however, the sunshine is my only ally while the weeds have two preschoolers, 8 dogs, RAIN! Those are just the obvious ones! I don't liquid weed because I have so many smallish things running around it actually scares me a little~ So it's me and the pitchfork and a bucket for the nasty weeds, the rest get mulched...

Puppies Are Here~ UPDATED!

5 Puppies~ 

2 males, 3 females 

Three were born June 18th the others born one at 12:30 am and one born around 3:00 am June 19th!

The litter between JJ & Diego arrived today around 12:30 pm. Beautiful, large, noisy little pupwielers! One male and one female. Not a huge litter but I am perfectly ok with that since they were born in the house. They will get tons of attention!


 Luke & Sage are going out of their minds: 
"One for us both to snuggle in our bed" 
"I want to climb in there and hold them"
"What are you doing to them? Don't lick them!" "It's OK Luke that's how she cleans them" "No Mom, that is not true!" From the kid who is generally the recipient of JJ's rather large, fast, slimy tongue!


JJ is doing well, she was pretty scared being her first litter. There was pain and there was mess in Mom's house. She was pretty sure she was in trouble. Poor thing! 
So, I calmly cleaned up the mess and climbed in with her, petting her, singing "Baby Mine" and helped the pups with the nursing thing. She was then able to relax and understood that she was still by good girl and I'm not mad. 
She has been drinking organic chicken stock and catching on to being attentive to something other then food.


Sadly, Auntie Pepper has not been welcome to check out the puppies. Even though she was the one who alerted me to the fact that they were here, JJ didn't make a sound.  Pepper has been beside herself pretty sure JJ was going to eat those puppies and that she should have them to take care of... You will meet Pepper, she is my kid dog/100% house dog, bunny belly soft with an old soul~




*PAUSE*

We now have 3 puppies, 2 females and 1 male~ The last one seemed huge! JJ is doing great now, gave her some cottage cheese and pumpkin, she has organic chicken stock to drink along with water. She has has a couple cups of her regular food as well. Bedding is all changed and clean. Puppies are all nursing. JJ did take a few minutes to go outside, run around and go potty... 
I think I will turn in for the night myself~

The Amazing "JJ" Jorgie Von Ruelmann~

My first Female Rottweiler and definitely my girl! We purchased JJ as a pup from Bob & Suzie Bolognesi owners of Von Ruelmann Rottweilers Inc. in Riverside, CA. She is the littermate to Jacque who you will soon meet and fall madly in love with~
JJ is the ultimate in beauty and drive as one would expect when her sire is
the spectacular Ives Vom Hause Neubrand II (Google him, he's incredible) and her dam is
Von Ruelmann's Iris who is a Tough Vom Hause Neubrand daughter!


JJ is the classic female Rott. Hips "good".  A thick female, she has amazing intelligence and intuition. A true leader and takes second ONLY to her humans but not in an aggressive way. Very similar to Diego she simply is the leader and the others follow her.


High drive but not high strung~ this female I should have titled. That will be the regret of my relationship with her. My major hesitation is not having the time myself and not being willing to sell her or send her away to Germany. I almost feel guilty and selfish around this issue but JJ was my first female Rott and anyone who has had a female will understand how different they are~ We connect on a different level then any other dog I've owned. She reads my mind!

Many people have the belief that a female Rott would not be able to protect the same as a male. They have not been "hit" by JJ. When we discussed who to move in for  night duty in the house, when Dino started showing real age, it was Jacque or JJ. They take turns but I feel sorry for anyone who is foolish enough to tangle with her!


She will produce exceptional pups because she comes from an exceptional breeder and lineage.
Friendly but discerning with strangers. Great with the kids, cats and all smallish things. She is the one who was the "mommy" to Axel after weening. He loves her and she looks out for him.
JJ loves the ball and is the only one who can wear out Jacque in tug-of-war! There is no quit in this dog (unless we say so) she is more toward the "hard" side and keeps going and going if asked to...  She is very special!
